Alf is an AI-powered host for restaurants and hospitality venues. It answers telephone calls on a venue's behalf, takes bookings and orders, sends confirmations by SMS and other messaging channels, and integrates with the venue's booking, point-of-sale, and back-office systems as agreed in your order form or subscription plan.
The service is offered to businesses only. You must be authorised to act for the venue you register, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
Calls and messages handled by Alf may be carried over third-party communications platforms (including Twilio Inc.). You agree not to use the service to send unsolicited marketing, spam, or any communication that breaches applicable law, including the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Where calls are recorded or transcribed to provide the service, the venue is responsible for any notices to its own customers that the law requires, and we provide standard wording to help with this.
You must not misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, use it to transmit unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful content, or resell it without our written agreement.
Fees, billing frequency, and any usage-based charges are set out in your subscription plan or order form. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT and payable in advance.
Each party will comply with applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on a venue's behalf, a data processing agreement forms part of the service contract.
We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance and matters outside our reasonable control (including third-party network or carrier outages) may affect availability.
We own or license all intellectual property in the service, including the Alf name, software, and models' configuration. You retain all rights in your own data.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period.
Either party may terminate as set out in the subscription plan. We may suspend the service immediately for material breach, unlawful use, or where a communications provider requires it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to account holders in advance; the latest version always applies from the date shown above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
